Treatment	Indication	Dose
Prednisone	Treatment of choice for this condition.	Start with 30-40 mg by mouth once daily then reduce to maintenance dose of 10-15 mg by mouth once daily.
Antacids	Helps reduce abdominal pain in mild cases.	15-45 milliliters by mouth every 3-6 hours or 1-3 hours after meals and at bedtime.
Metoclopramide	Helps control symptoms caused by reduced emptying function of stomach in mild cases.	10-15 mg by mouth up to 4 times per day given 30 minutes before meals or food and at bedtime.
